Community
Crossroads Homemaker Centre along with the Liverpool Leader, is aiming 2010 just that little bit easier on the finances for 10 charities, sports or community groups, by establishing a community chest for their benefit.
The Crossroads Homemaker Centre Community Chest aims to assist during these hard economic times, by providing $1000 Prepaid Visa Card grants to groups that support, promote or keep the community active. There is a $1,000 Prepaid Visa Card grant to be awarded each month for 10 months, from February until December…a total of $10,000!
Jackie Common, Centre Manager of Crossroads said “Our aim is to help 10 community organisations over the next 10 months through our Community Chest program. Crossroads Homemaker Centre is a key part of Liverpool's Community and we’re very happy to be able to support those groups that play a central role for the people that live here.”
